Do you ever think about quitting your boring 9 to 5 job to pursue a more fulfilling career?

Do you want to pursue your life calling, your purpose and your passion, full-time? And… you feel like if you don’t do it… you’re on the wrong path?

Have you ever asked the Universe, “How can I truly live my calling and turn it into a career?” In other words, “How can I make money doing this?”

What you want… is a soul path. A soul path is any life path or work path that gives you purpose, meaning, adventure and personal growth.  (Go to Step 1 & 2 of your worksheet, which you can download on this page for free.)

Versus…. a career or job, which provides you income, security, predictability and comfort. (Go to Step 3 & 4 of your worksheet.)

So you might be asking… “How do I combine both? I want BOTH. I don’t want either/or.”

What you’re really saying to the Universe is (because sometimes you’re sending conflicting messages to your angels and spiritual guides and— they’re not quite sure what to bring you)…

You’re saying to the Universe, “I want something that brings “change” to my life and other people’s lives, but I don’t want it to change my income, cuz I’d still like to pay my bills on time. There are pros and cons to everything. As far as change goes, I’d like the pros and not the cons.”

The Universe is sort of thinking, “Well, um, you know… we usually create through seasons. Like, there’s a rainy season and then there’s a dry season. Mother Nature creates abundance in cycles…. Because it’s a more efficient way to conserve energy.”

It’s do-able, but since you’re not flowing with how the Universe does things yet, the Universe  is trying to figure out how to flow with how you’re trying to do things.

What you’re also saying to the Universe is, “I want something that makes me feel purposeful and meaningful, but I don’t want to do the tedious and mundane stuff… like writing up a legal contract or bookkeeping.”

The Universe is saying, “That’s okay babe, but that’s like trying to grow a flower with no soil. You need the soil, the dirt, the messy stuff that no one wants to deal with because that’s where the flower grows FROM. You can’t grow a flower out of the air.”

By definition, a soul path is made up of learning curves. It goes up and down. Everything in the universe moves forward in waves, including abundance. Sound and light does, even the stock market. By definition, a job is linear. It moves forward in a straight line. So the Universe is probably having a hard time figuring out how to give you a soul path that feels flat enough to satisfy you.

It’s a lot easier if you think of your soul path as a lifestyle, instead of a career or a job. Because if you make money from your lifestyle, you feel great. But if you rely on your lifestyle to be your job or sole source of survival, you feel burnt out and jaded.

When you choose your soul path, it’s exactly like choosing LOVE. There are risks. Love is not a guarantee. Love involves trust. If trusting were secure and predictable— it would not be trust. When you choose love, you are choosing to risk. How much you risk is up to you (Go to Step 5 of your worksheet). But you still have to risk. The key ingredient of a soul path is risk. If your soul path is a chocolate chip cookie, risk would be like the chocolate chips. You don’t have to have a million of them, but you have to have at least 2. Does that make sense?

If you are willing to take a minimal amount of risk, then we have to change the question from “How can I make money doing this?”  to “How can I create money from doing this?” (Go to Step 6 of your worksheet)

Now… the Universe goes, “Oh… okay. Oh yeah, okay. Now we have some ideas. We thought you needed security, safety, predictability—- but if that’s not the main thing that you’re going for … you just wanted to create money, that’s easy….” You see, so now the Universe can start piping you ideas.

The soul path is a seedling. You can’t start harvesting fruit from it like it’s a big huge tree, already. You gotta’ let that thing breathe a little, grow up, get some leaves, maybe a trunk, then some branches and then…. fruit. You can pluck it all you want, once it has fruit.  But you can’t pluck, now. It’s premature. You’re growing this thing like it’s a baby.  Don’t treat it like a 21 year old ready to put itself through college.

Love love love your soul path. Don’t enslave it.

The Universe will give you the rich nutrients your little infant soul path needs to be ready for college maybe by 6 years old or 12, you don’t have to wait til’ it’s 21. The universe will help you grow your baby exponentially but you have to do your small part of loving it, not demanding it survive in this cruel world and support mommy when it’s only 4 days old.

You can’t treat it the way that Joe Jackson treated Michael Jackson, because even if your dream or your soul path comes true, it will have some serious psychological problems. We’ve all heard of CEO’s who’ve grown their company from the ground-up and everyone’s terrified of them.

The same thing will happen to you, if  you take too much risk, you will go into fear or panic mode and you will ruin the creative lifestyle that gave you so much purpose, meaning and feeling like you’re on the right track. Some people just throw their 9 to 5 jobs away and GO FOR IT!!!

So we’re going to add a second question for you to ask the Universe. “How can I feed, nurture and grow my soul path while it’s still a baby?”

In my coaching, every time we ask a question, I coach you to answer with a commitment. For example, “I commit to using the money created from my spiritual and social enterprise to continue nurturing my baby (soul path) until it’s grown or mature enough to survive on its own and feed itself. My dream is to be co-creative partners with my soul path. But right now, it’s a little young. I gotta wait for it to grow up, just a bit— before we partner and take over the world.”

So you don’t want to combine the 2 boxes. You don’t want to turn your exciting dream into a boring reality. Keep the dream, a dream! Keep the dream alive! If you do that… you could potentially have so much success right away that you can dump your job. If you want to dump your job, this energy right here is the fastest and easiest way…. to follow the path of love to abundance! Not follow the path of fear and predictability to abundance.

If you’re filling out the worksheet that goes with this video, write down your mantra or “aha” moment. For example, “The easiest and fastest path to abundance is love, not fear or doubt.”

Please share your mantra in the comments to this video— or any other quesitons that pop up for you and I will comment back. Thanks!
