Are you going through a hard time?

I want you to consider…maybe God or the world needs this from you now.

For example, a man whose young daughter died and she would’ve been two years old this year. Every year when that birthday hits, he gets drunk and passes out on the sidewalk. But you know what happens after that? When he wakes up the next morning with a terrible hangover, the first thing he does is ask, “Why God? Why me?” And suddenly, a song appears in his mind. He can hear it and he knows the words. It’s from his heart. His broken heart split open wide because of the death of his daughter. He cannot sing with that much soul unless, his soul has been cut that deep.

What if… God needs you to have cancer, right now, because when you walk into that hospital room where you get chemo and you see all those other cancer patients sitting in their chairs hooked up IV’s you realize… that God brought you here to this room—- not to give people hope, not to be a hero—- but to be sick, just to sit with them in their illness—- just so…. that they won’t be alone. You cannot sit with a sick person and truly empathize with what they are going through—- unless… you too, are sick. You see, Jesus is doing exactly that. He is sitting next to each and every person in that room. If they are hooked up to an IV, Jesus is hooked up to an IV also.

What you have to know about God, is that God wants to do and be and feel everything that you are experiencing because God doesn’t have a body. God has you. You are his body. You are God’s face. You.. are the face of God. And you are loved.
