I’m enrolled in at a course at Sri Baghavan’s Oneness University located inVaradaiahpalem, a village in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India.

In meditation today, I heard the Divine saying, “You spent your whole life seeking me, instead of serving me.”

If I had served God, I would have seen him everywhere. But because I was seeking, I thought he was up on the highest mountain top. I spent my whole life climbing this mountain, empowering myself to climb it, educating myself how to climb it, training to climb it, gathering teams of experts to climb with me, marketing the climb, and video-taping the climb. When I finally arrived at the peak, God was there.

But he was also at the bottom of the mountain. If I had been serving him, I would have found him in the hands, eyes, faces and feet of those whom I served. I also would have been loved by everyone because God would have loved me through them.

But instead, I settled for an experience of God in the form of a frozen peak of ice, alone, silent, freezing, on top of the world, looking down. I thought that was God because I had worked so hard to get here with years of preparation. In reality, God was everywhere. I just didn’t know that.
