In this video I’m going to answer 2 questions: Why are success and money are so hard to attain? Why do some people get lucky breaks, while more talented individuals do not?
Question #1: Why is success and money so hard to attain?
The question lies in what you want and what you fear. Some people “think” that they want success, but in their heart, pic what they really want is love. And if becoming successful will ruin their quiet little home life with wifey and kids, then they’d rather not shatter the loving peace they’ve already acquired.
And they argue and argue that they “want” success, but in their heart they are not willing to make the sacrifices that would cause them to be a success.
The second thing that blocks success is what you fear. Some people have grown up in strict homes with rigid rules and told that when they succeed, the whole clan of “Smith’s” or “Jone’s” succeed. So they have taped to their backs, this burden of uplifting an entire race of people, a nation, a heritage or a family dynasty. So they put off succeeding because as soon as they sweat blood and tears for that trophy, it will be taken away from them and claimed by someone else in their family line, a jealous lover or an ambitious sibling. million dollar baby
Question #2: Why are some people still waiting while a less talented person might get their lucky break randomly?
Because the less talented person is ready to bungee jump and you are a little street wiser and don’t leap from tall buildings wearing only a single cape. Success is a suicide, not a winged flight through the sky.
As soon as you rise, you have to be prepared to fall. When a celebrity quote unquote “makes it” and gets on the cover of People Magazine, the first thing they will receive is hate mail. Jealousy stalks the lucky. The greedy steals from them. Vanity will eventually destroy them.
Those who want to succeed, must think twice because every rise is coupled with a fall. The only way to outlive your success is to ride the roller coaster of success and failure without getting emotionally invested in the outcome.
Paramanhansa Yogananda said, “The end result of emotional extremes is extreme emotional dissatisfaction. Perfect happiness lies not at any of the extremities of outer experiences, but at a point of calmness midway between them all.”
Thus, the greatest way for someone to prepare for imminent success is to cultivate inner peace which builds the inner foundation of emotional stability. To develop the character to withstand the mighty storms that success will inevitably bring upon your life.
The best way to do this is to pray, meditate, keep a journal and surround yourself with holy and sacred energy. You can also practice Oneness meditation online, watch youtube videos of Sri Baghavan and read Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi.
Sri Baghavan once said that if you want to build a big house, why do you have a foundation that is only 4 feet deep. Your house will collapse. If you have not yet succeeded, perhaps it is because you are wisely spending him building a strong enough foundation to support the future of your success.
