“I received a frantic phone call from my friend, Carol. She said her nephew, Vincent was supposed to arrive at a cabin in Yosemite to meet with their family, 36 hours ago. He usually calls and checks in with his wife, religiously. The family was tense. Search and Rescue, as well as the Sheriff’s company were out looking for these 2 men with no luck.
I called Vicky to ask her about Vince. She said that they were safe and pulled off the road to go hiking at a secret spot south of Yosemite. She also said that one of them broke or hurt his left foot. That’s why they were late. She said that they would eventually show up on their own, not even aware that they had caused such a ruckus in the family.
Well, the next day, the 2 men showed up. They said that everybody was crazy for thinking that they were ‘missing’ and looking for them. Just like Vicky said, one of them had a broken left foot and he had to go to the hospital. The ‘secret spot’ they stopped to hike at matched the exact description that Vicky gave.
Vicky is amazing and unbelievable. After sharing her viewpoint with Carol, the family calmed down.”
